Grassroots sport in Tasmania’s North-West and West Coasts will be given a boost with a Shorten Labor Government investing $350,000 towards modernising the West Park Sports Facility.
Labor’s $350,000 investment will go towards upgrading facilities to better support girls and women’s participation in sport and the installation of a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard.
Federal Labor’s $350,000 investment comes on top of an existing $50,000 commitment from the Burnie Council. Now it’s time for the Hodgman State Government to come to the table – next week’s state budget must commit to the remaining $100,000 to fund these upgrades.
